West Coast Photography

The dense green beech forests, glaciers, dramatic coastline and the Southern Alps all make the West Coast an epic location for New Zealand landscape photography. A few years ago, I did a mountaineering trip hiking across the Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers from the Centennial Hut to the Chancellor Hut. It will always feel incredible to see the Southern Alps on one side and the Tasman Sea to the other.

Another favourite West Coast photography location of mine is Lake Matheson, I’m yet to capture a perfect reflection of Aoraki/Mt. Cook in the lake, so I’ll always have a reason to go back and explore more of the West Coast.
